Part-time, non-tenure track, for placement in Spring, Summer and/or Fall lecturer pool, assignments as needed, contingent on availability of funds and actual staffing requirements for East Hawaii (Hilo), West Hawaii (Kailua-Kona), and/or North Hawaii (Honokaa) campuses. Must be able to attend meetings and trainings on short notice as well as teach courses in person, as necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Under general supervision, conduct lecture and as appropriate, laboratory courses in the discipline.
- May include instructional assignment involving distance education.
- Maintain at least one office hour per week for each class taught.
- Possible evening, weekend and off-campus assignments.
- Conduct student evaluations of teaching effectiveness.
- Participate in assessment of course learning outcomes.
- Adhere to all due dates, including the online submission of grades.
Minimum Qualifications:
- (a) Master's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field; Child Development, Human Development, Family Resources, Human Ecology, Elementary Education with a specialty in ECE, Early Childhood and Special Education (blended) Elementary and Early Childhood (Dual Preparation) and Curriculum Studies in Early Childhood Education;
- OR (b) Master's degree in any field and 15 credits in Early Childhood Education (ECE) related courses plus 1 year of related work experience;
- OR (c) Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field; Child Development, Human Development, Family Resources, Human Ecology, Elementary Education with a specialty in ECE, Early Childhood and Special Education (blended) Elementary and Early Childhood (Dual Preparation), Social Science with Concentration in Early Childhood Education, and Curriculum Studies in Early Childhood Education plus 3 years of related work experience;
- OR (d) Bachelor's degree in any field and 15 credits in Early Childhood Education (ECE) related courses plus 5 years of related work experience. Related fields include: Human Development, Family Resources, Human Ecology, and Social Work with a specialty in ECE.

Desirable Qualifications:- Willingness to work with Running Start and Early College programs and pass required additional screening as necessary.
- Demonstrated commitment and/or experience supporting the success of students.
