Part-time, non-tenure track, for placement in Spring, Summer and/or Fall lecturer pool, assignments as needed, contingent on availability of funds and actual staffing requirements for East Hawaii (Hilo), West Hawaii (Kailua-Kona), and/or North Hawaii (Honokaa) campuses. Must be able to attend meetings and trainings on short notice as well as teach courses in person, as necessary.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Under general supervision, conduct lecture and as appropriate, laboratory courses in the discipline. 
2. May include instructional assignment involving distance education. 
3. Maintain at least one office hour per week for each class taught. 
4. Possible evening, weekend and off-campus assignments. 
5. Conduct student evaluations of teaching effectiveness. 
6. Participate in assessment of course learning outcomes. 
7. Adhere to all due dates, including the online submission of grades. 

1. (a) Master's degree in Nursing with at least one year of hospital experience in one of the areas of teaching responsibility (preferably this experience will have been gained within the last five years of date of application) and registered nurse eligible for Hawaii State License. License required by effective date of employment.
2. OR(b) Bachelor's degree in Nursing with at least three years of hospital experience in one of the areas of teaching responsibility (preferably this experience will have been gained within the last five years of date of application) and registered nurse eligible for Hawaii State License. License required by effective date of employment.

2. Demonstrated commitment and/or experience promoting equity and a diverse workforce/academic environment.
3. Demonstrated commitment and/or experience supporting the success of students.

1. A Copy of your academic transcript(s) appropriate to the position are required in order to verify all courses completed and/or degree conferred to receive credit (unofficial transcripts are acceptable; diplomas will NOT be accepted). Official transcripts are required at the time of hire. Transcripts issued outside the United States of America require a course-by-course analysis with an equivalency statement from an agency having membership with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc., verifying the degree equivalency to that of an accredited institution within the USA. Expense of the evaluation shall be borne by the applicant;
