Other Conditions: Lecturer applicant pool for future semesters. Positions are part-time, temporary, non-tenure and are contingent upon sufficient student enrollment, position clearance and availability of funding. Must be available to teach courses during the day, evening, weekend, and/or via distance learning, as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities- Teaching basic communication courses such as COM 100 Human Communication in Diverse Society and COM 251 Public Speaking as well as additional courses serving program needs
- Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught
Minimum Qualifications
- M.A in Communication, Speech communication, human communication, or Mass communication from an accredited university
- Experience in teaching basic communication and public speaking courses at the university level
Desirable Qualifications
- Demonstrated aptitude for course instruction at the university level
- Demonstrated ability to teach diverse student populations in a multicultural setting
- Proven track record of effective course instruction in communication courses at the University level
- Commitment and potential to contribute to, diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Demonstrated interest in Asian and/or the Pacific cultures
