Salary Information: Minimum for Academic Year 2024-2025, $1,911 per credit hour, commensurate with education and experience.
Duration of Assignment: July 7, 2025 to August 14, 2025
Position funded by: Kahiku: Rise to Excellence GEAR UP Hawai'i P20 Grant
Other Conditions:
For lecturer application pool, part-time, pending availability of funds and actual staffing requirements. Courses may be taught during day, evening, weekend, or online.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach assigned courses in English, including: ENG 100: Composition I.
Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
Prepare course syllabi and reports related to teaching and student progress.
Work under supervision of division chair in integrating teaching efforts with other instructors in discipline area.
As needed, work with multi-media presentation, distance education instruction, and teaching at off-campus sites.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in English.
Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
Desirable Qualifications:
College teaching experience.
