Description

Salary Information: Minimum for Academic Year 2024-2025, $1,911 per credit hour, commensurate with education and experience.
 

Other Conditions:
  • For lecturer applicant pool, part-time, pending availability of funds and actual staffing requirements.

  • Must be available to teach courses online and in person, either during the day, evening, or weekend.
     

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Teach assigned courses in Student Development (SD) such as University Experience (SD 100); Summer Bridge (SD 101); Identity, Place & Culture (SD 102), First Year Experience (SD 103); Career & Major Exploration (SD 105); Personal Development for Effective Teams (SD 250); Dynamics of Effective Leadership (SD 360); and Peer Leadership Education & Mentoring (SD 370). 

  2. Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
  3. Prepare course syllabi and reports related to teaching and student progress.
  4. As needed, work with multi-media presentation, distance education instruction, and teaching at off-campus sites.
     

Minimum Qualifications
  1. Master's degree in Education, Social Sciences or another relevant discipline.
  2. Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.

  3. Knowledge of student development theory, especially as it relates to learning, growth, and student success in college.
     

Desirable Qualifications

  1. College teaching experience.
