Summer Program Houston PREP Peer Assistant requirements:
Houston PREP is designed to engage middle and high school students in STEM fields, to inspire creativity, to encourage interactive learning, to foster positive thinking.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of Science, Technology, and Mathematics fields
- Candidates must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse university community
- Dependable, professional, and positive responsibilities
- Able to guide and assist middle/high school students in a classroom setting
Required Qualifications
- 12 hours of college-level courses in the Spring 2025 semester
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Major in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, Engineering, or similarly related fields
