Duties
- Represents the values and mission of the Career Center and serves as a role model to students, alumni, and other student assistants
- Assist students and alumni with appointment scheduling and address their questions both in person and over the phone
- Guide students and alumni to CC career resources
- Monitor student sign-in process
- Provide support to CC staff members with preparing for and delivering workshops, programs, and events
- Create flyers and/or social media posts to be used in marketing workshops and events
- Supports UHD and Career Center policies and guidelines
- Maintains confidentiality
- Other duties as assigned
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Campus Groups
- Creativity and design experience in tools such as Canva
- Understand what it means to provide excellent customer service
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- Attention to detail with the ability to solve problems independently
- Willingness to learn new things
- Must be dependable and professional
- Must provide a course schedule for the upcoming semester and a current Fall 2024-Spring 2025 Financial Aid Award Letter if selected for an interview
- Must be a current UHD student with Financial Aid Federal Work-Study for the Fall 2024 - Spring 2025 Academic Year
- Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Must be available to work up to 20 hours a week, Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
