The Information Science Technology Department at the University of Houston Sugar Land is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time, non-tenure track, Lecturer position. This position is open to applicants with expertise in the Computer Information Systems field, with a focus on supporting both undergraduate and graduate-level courses.
As a full-time Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, engaging with students, and contributing to the success of the Computer Information Systems program. You may also collaborate with the Master’s Program in Cybersecurity, depending on semester needs.
Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in the Computer Information Systems program.
Work collaboratively with the Master's Program in Cybersecurity as needed.
Develop and implement effective course materials and assessments.
Provide academic support and mentorship to students.
Participate in departmental meetings and activities.
Qualifications
Teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level is preferred.
Strong knowledge and expertise in Computer Information Systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Degree Requirements: Ideal candidates will have either a minimum of a Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field for teaching at the Undergraduate level, or a PhD in either Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or Data Science for teaching at the graduate level.
