Description

- Plans and develops procedures for administering a small or medium-sized department or program.
- Oversees program expenditures and ensures adherence to budget.
- Provides guidance to subordinate staff and evaluates performance.
- May prepare or participate in the creation of abstracts, research reports, funding proposals, operations and procedure manuals, and other written material and documentation.
- Reviews reports of budgets and activities.
- Prepares ad hoc reports as needed.
- May administer grants and grant-related related communications, scholarships and other operations.
- Develops, implements and maintains appropriate policies and procedures.
- May serve as property custodian for the department.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

- Events, Engagement and Programs – organize events, large workshops, presentations, and programs from start to finish. Some examples may include career fairs, industry panels, headshots, and student employment luncheon and awards, alumni socials, information sessions; engage with student organizations, alumni and employers.
- Marketing and Communications - manages social media and department website content creation, deployment, and engagement; interviews, writes, edits, and disseminates news releases and other articles to highlight faculty, staff, student, alumni and employer and achievements, and department events and programs; develop graphic designs for electronic and print media. Coordinate ordering marketing and promotional items with UCS staff for various events. Lead departmental internal marketing and communication committee. Supervise Marketing intern.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Department is willing to accept education in lieu of experience and experience in lieu of education.
- Preferred candidates will have experience or familiarity with graphic design software such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or InDesign; social media and related engagement;
- Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinating concurrent and work cooperatively with others
- Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal, organizational, problem solving and customer service skills; keen attention to detail; proficiency in the Microsoft 365 software.
