Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Advancement Services, the Associate Director of Advancement Analytics encompasses developing and designing statistical reports, visual dashboards of analytics, and implementing aggressive data enhancement programs. Additionally, the Associate Director will ensure seamless execution of data initiatives and provide data requests to team members.
The Associate Director of Advancement Analytics will ensure seamless data flow through API connectivity and other import/export processes. This role drives the development and implementation of innovative technological solutions to enhance data utilization in support of fundraising efforts. Additionally, serving as the primary backup for the Director of Advancement Services, the Associate Director closely collaborates with Advancement staff and vendor representatives to maintain data consistency and accuracy. The Associate Director should strive to become a “power user” of the Blackbaud suite of products, and assist the Advancement Team in utilizing all features to enhance our fundraising efforts.

Requirements/Qualifications
- 1 – 4 years of experience
- Bachelors degree required, preferably studying Data Analysis/Analytics, Statistics, or other related degree.
- Performs critical data integrity tasks, analytics, and report generation, including ongoing monitoring of donor trends, behaviors, and data consistency.
- Leverages multiple software systems to support API connectivity and data usage between systems, data mining and query functions to significantly enhance fundraising and constituent engagement efforts.
- Drives the development and maintenance of comprehensive routine reporting efforts utilizing diverse systems and data connectivity solutions. This pivotal role ensures the seamless construction and upkeep of sophisticated reporting mechanisms, leveraging advanced technical expertise to optimize data connectivity and drive actionable insights for strategic decision-making among college leadership.
- Facilitates data request fulfillment, collaborating with staff to meet outreach, planning, and analysis needs within Institutional Advancement and across campus partnerships.
- Plans and executes data import processes for the main Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT fundraising database in conjunction with other collaborative software programs.
- Serves as primary back up for the Director of Advancement Services, participating in cross-training exercises.
- Maintains comprehensive standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation related to areas of responsibility.
- Systematically evaluates and implements AI tools within Advancement, maintaining close collaboration with the Director of Advancement Services to uphold best practices and ethical standards for fundraising optimization.
- Performs other appropriate assignments as requested by the Director of Advancement Services.

- Experience utilizing multiple software systems for data management, including Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT with a strong emphasis on API connectivity knowledge, import and export, data mining and query functions.
- Proficient in planning, organizing, and meeting deadlines, with a proven track record of successful project management.
- Statistical literacy and strong analytical skills are imperative with the ability to generate actionable insights through sophisticated reporting mechanisms utilizing Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT dashboards, Microsoft Power BI, and Microsoft Excel programs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and scrupulous accuracy in handling confidential materials, demonstrate sound judgment and discretion.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Ability to provide clear and actionable instruction to colleagues, offering assistance, training, or supervision as needed.
- Preferred qualifications of experience in GiveCampus software, ThankView software, Double the Donation software, Ellucian Banner software, Excel, Word, Power BI, PowerAutomate, and with current use knowledge of AI.
