Job Description
The Staff Accountant is a key member of the Accounting team, responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and supporting the institution’s financial reporting and compliance efforts. The Staff Accountant will work closely with other departments to maintain the integrity of financial records, assist with the preparation of financial statements, and contribute to various accounting functions in support of the university’s mission and goals.
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS :
- At least 1-3 years of experience in accounting or a related financial field, preferably in a higher education environment.
- Knowledge of financial accounting principles, practices, and standards.
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
