Position Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist ensures efficient management of inventory operations, including receiving, shipping, restocking, and maintaining accurate records across multiple locations. This role supports timely deliveries of medical equipment and supplies to patients and healthcare facilities, provides education on proper equipment use, and performs maintenance tasks to uphold operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
Position Responsibilities
- Supports inventory operations, including receiving, shipping, transferring, restocking, and conducting cycle counts to ensure accurate records in the warehouse, DME store, and consignment closets.
- Responsible for communicating with vendors about shortages, damaged product, and backorder issues.
- Deliver medical equipment and supplies to hospitals and patients' homes, ensuring timely service.
- Educate patients on the safe and effective use of medical equipment.
- Responsible for conducting cycle counts and managing other inventory control related tasks to maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse, DME store and consignment closets.
- Perform minor equipment repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment in the warehouse and patient's home.
- Maintain and organize delivery vehicles, ensuring cleanliness and proper upkeep.
- Clean and sanitize medical equipment as required.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.
- Be knowledgeable of and responsible for the current UICH policies and procedures that apply to this position.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 programs (i.e., word, excel, etc.)

Expected Work Hours and Location
Generally, 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm with occasional nights and weekends. Days and hours are subject to change with notice.
