Position Summary :
The Residence Life Hall Coordinator position promotes student and residential community success by overseeing the day-to-day initiatives and operations of a 300- 1,000 student residence hall through a curricular approach, effective supervision, and individualized student care.
Specific Job Duties & Tasks :
- Promote residential student success through the supervision, direction, assignments, feedback, and coaching to graduate fellow, resident assistants, student staff, and support staff as assigned. Recommend disciplinary action, including termination of employment of student staff.
- Assist in the investigation of policy violations, damages, thefts, etc. Follow up with appropriate staff and students to determine accuracy.
- Support a discipline system that encourages responsible and inclusive student behavior.
- Participate in the development and implementation of academic initiatives, residential curriculum, and living learning communities; including maintaining effective working relationships with Residence Education Staff and Campus Partners.
- Participate in the creation and implementation of community development initiatives.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of University residence hall building(s), grounds, and staff.
- Support residents in resolving housing, general living, personal, and academic problems and refer to appropriate advisory services.
- Chair or participate in a departmental committee.
- Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of training workshops and in-service sessions prior to and throughout the academic year.
- Ensure appropriate staff coverage in building or building complex.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of a University residence hall building(s), grounds, and staff.
- Prepare special and periodic reports.
- Ensure appropriate staff coverage in building or building complex.
