Job Summary | The Cloud Development Specialist will collaborate with the Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain robust cloud infrastructure solutions for UK HealthCare, with a focus on BC/DR environments. This position will be instrumental in delivering secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud solutions to support critical healthcare operations. Key responsibilities include: Configuring, monitoring, and maintaining systems and services to ensure high availability and compliance in UK HealthCare cloud environments. Collaborating with customer support teams to analyze and resolve cloud-related issues. Supporting configuration management, infrastructure provisioning, and the integration of secure networking solutions. Proactively monitoring and optimizing cloud systems for performance, security, and compliance. Analyzing and resolving cloud-related issues in collaboration with support teams and stakeholders. Automating infrastructure processes using scripting tools such as Python or PowerShell to improve system reliability and reduce manual effort. This is a hybrid position. |
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | Proficiency in Azure cloud architecture, including role-based access control (RBAC) and hybrid environments. · Strong understanding of networking principles, including VLANs, switches, and firewall configurations. · Hands-on experience with monitoring tools, infrastructure provisioning, and cloud security best practices. · Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for process automation. · Certifications such as CompTIA Cloud Essentials, AZ-900, and Cybersecurity Fundamentals are preferred. |

Preferred Education/Experience | Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. CompTIA Cloud Essentials, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), ISC2 Cybersecurity. Azure Administrators (AZ-104),Cybersecurity fundamentals, Certified Network Professional, preferred. Experience with Azure BC/DR implementations or hybrid cloud environments is a plus. |
