N / A Physical Requirements Must be able to sit at a computer for different lengths of time. Shift Should be able to work 10 hours per week between 8 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM Monday – Friday Job Summary This position is for a full-time graduate student currently enrolled at University of Kentucky.
This is an on campus position that supports the university’s Electronic Resources (ebooks, ejournals, databases, etc.).It is located within the Collections and Technical Services department at the William T. Young Library.The student will work with the Electronic Resources (ER) Coordinator and the ER Sr. Technician to :
- Assist with managing of electronic resource / licensing database created to manage library’s electronic and digital collections.
- Verify Ejournal access.
- Provide progress reports and feedback to ER staff regarding database usability and / or functionality.
- Verify and / or correct electronic resource metadata within database.
- Help evaluate electronic resources for accessibility compliance
- Special projects as assigned.

- Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
- Working knowledge of basic excel functions required :
- Managing lists
- Data entry
- Basic edit functions including sort & filter.
- Familiarity with using Microsoft Office products.
- Good organizational, research and communication skills.
- Reliability and punctuality a must.
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- SLIS (LIBRARY SCIENCE) STUDENTS PRFERRED
