Physical Requirements : Must be able to sit at a computer for different lengths of time.
Shift : Should be able to work 10 hours per week between 8 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM Monday – Friday.
Job Summary :
This position is for a full-time graduate student currently enrolled at the University of Kentucky. This is an on-campus position that supports the university’s Electronic Resources (ebooks, ejournals, databases, etc.). It is located within the Collections and Technical Services department at the William T. Young Library. The student will work with the Electronic Resources (ER) Coordinator and the ER Sr. Technician to :
- Assist with managing the electronic resource / licensing database created to manage the library’s electronic and digital collections.
- Verify ejournal access.
- Provide progress reports and feedback to ER staff regarding database usability and / or functionality.
- Verify and / or correct electronic resource metadata within the database.
- Help evaluate electronic resources for accessibility compliance.
- Special projects as assigned.
