The Cutler Institute at the University of Southern Maine is pleased to announce an opening for a full-time Administrative Specialist : CL2. This position could be based in our Portland or Augusta offices.

As the Administrative Specialist, you will bring monthly financial reconciliation and administrative support to a number of projects within our Children, Youth, and Families and Population Health and Health Policy program areas. This may include purchasing, travel reconciliation, stipend payments, and budget monitoring as well as special projects as needed.

This position will require strong organizational skills and in-depth procedural knowledge. This role serves as the primary point of contact and an ongoing resource for both internal and external stakeholders, handling a wide range of verbal and written communications.

Collaboration within a team is essential, along with a commitment to exceptional customer service, maintaining confidentiality, and managing multiple tasks effectively. The ability to prioritize and navigate a diverse environment with frequent interruptions is crucial. The position requires sound judgment and initiative, with work typically carried out under general guidance rather than specific instructions.

This full-time position will pay $18.86 / hour (non-negotiable) for a new hire or the appropriate transfer rate for a current employee with the University of Maine System.

Required Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) or international degree equivalency

1 years of administrative support experience

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Comfort or experience with office technology such as Word, email, Zoom
