University of Maine System Senior Companion Program Director

The University of Maine Center on Aging, Senior Companion Program is funded in part through a grant from AmeriCorps Seniors, (the Corporation for National Community Service). Senior Companions are stipended volunteers who support homebound individuals with education and companionship, helping them remain in their homes. Volunteer stations are non-profit, community-based, human service agencies serving elders. The SCP Director works in partnership with Center on Aging faculty, professionals, program coordinators, Advisory Council, and volunteer stations in support of the goals and within the structure of the SCP. Typical hiring range for this soft-money funded position is $45,000 to $55,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.
