The University of Southern Maine’s Athletic Department is seeking applicants for their Athletic Trainer position. Athletics is an important and exciting part of student life at USM. Sponsoring 22 NCAA Division III intercollegiate teams and nearly 500 student-athletes, Husky student-athletes routinely compete at the regional and national level. The selected candidate will be providing the prevention, evaluation, management, and rehabilitation of injuries sustained by intercollegiate student-athletes (which includes emergency/acute care, evaluation, referral, modality application, and educational counseling relating to the student-athlete's overall wellness). This is a full-time position with an annual salary up to $41,000 commensurate with experience and is located on our Gorham Campus.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from CAATE accredited program. (Obtained by start date).
Licenses/Certifications:
- BOC (Board of Certification) Certification
- State of Maine Athletic Training license (must obtain by appointment date)
- Current Professional Rescuer (or equivalent) CPR/AED Certification
- Eligible for American Red Cross First Aid, CPR and AED Instructor Certification (must be obtained within six months of appointment).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Post-Professional master’s degree in athletic training or related field
- Minimum 2 years professional experience
- Experience as a preceptor with an Athletic Training Education Program
