The University of Maine at Augusta is seeking applicants for the position of Part-Time Faculty to teach Music Technology in our Contemporary and Popular Music program.

The successful candidate will be experienced in contemporary music styles. The ideal candidate will have professional experience in music technology, specifically with large format consoles, transducers, processors, and one or more of the following: Pro Tools, Ableton, ear training for audio engineers, audio electronics, Arduino programming, Dolby Atmos, and live event production. The instructor must demonstrate a command of online teaching platforms. This position is for an adjunct who can teach via online modalities.

Qualifications:


Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Music or another related discipline from an accredited college or university.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Four or more years of related and verifiable work experience
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness at the college level using multiple online teaching platforms
  • Experience in a professional recording studio
  • Strong commitment to interdisciplinary teaching and fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and participate in programs designed to enhance the experience of music majors through excellent teaching and creative curriculum development
  • Professional experience in music technology, specifically with large format consoles, transducers, processors, and one or more of the following: Pro Tools, Ableton, ear training for audio engineers, audio electronics, Arduino programming, Dolby Atmos, and live event production
