This position must work collaboratively with other staff to ensure proper customer processing, accurate exchange of information and successful billing to collection cycles. The person in the position must possess exemplary customer service skills, be able to learn and skillfully navigate various computer websites. This is an essential position in times of public health emergencies related to the campus.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential Duty / Responsibility (1) : Provide direct customer service in the busy front desk area (welcome customer, check eligibility, collect payment, provide direction to services, answer customer questions, scan documents, etc.) Gathers information and prepares documentation to refer accountsPercentage (1) : 80%Essential Duty / Responsibility (2) : Collect and process funds following established cash handling policies and procedures; maintain records of monetary transactions, cooperate with other staff to ensureaccuracy, security and accountability of collections. Perform cashiering activities such ascompleting credit card transactions, making change, processing checks, issuing receipts.Percentage (2) : 15%Essential Duty / Responsibility (3) : Other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications : Education : This position is only open to students currently enrolled in a Graduate Program at the University of Maryland, College Park.Experience : Related experience in customer service in a medical setting or financial operations.Preferences : Preferences :
