The Corporate Relations Development Specialist serves as a key partner and contributor to the new University Corporate Relations (UCR) team, which is responsible for strengthening and expanding campus-wide corporate partnerships. This position reports directly to the Executive Director for University Corporate Relations within Central Development.
Strategic corporate partnerships bring numerous benefits to the University–from research funding, to student support, to alumni engagement and giving. The Specialist will collaborate with colleagues across the division and university, and work with key external partners and donors to help achieve team and university goals.
This inaugural role requires a proactive self-starter, who is extremely detail oriented and comfortable working across a large organization. The person in this role should have excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills and understand the importance of maintaining a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
This position is responsible for executive-level administration, budget tracking, and communication for the team. The Specialist will conduct research on corporations; prepare briefings, reports and other materials; and provide comprehensive support for grant proposal submissions.
The work of University Relations involves complex software systems and large volumes of data; the ability to master new technologies and analyze and integrate data to inform strategies will help this person be successful. The Specialist maintains database records and ensures that information is consistent across all platforms.
As the work of the team evolves, the Specialist will participate in setting priorities for, and independently managing, both short-term and long-term projects, and will recommend and execute ad hoc projects to achieve the team’s goals.
Physical Demands:
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard equipment and keyboards. The ability to work occasional evenings and weekends, and travel up to 10% of the time required.

-Comfortable working independently, and as part of a team, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, where projects will vary and priorities can shift on short notice.
-Prior experience in fundraising/development environment and/or higher education
-Knowledge of complex philanthropic databases.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Three (3) years of experience in related field.
Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.
