Job Description Summary
Organization's Summary Statement :
The Department of the Built Environment is seeking a skilled and motivated Laboratory Manager to join our team. This role involves providing technical support and technology, managing inventory and
maintenance, and assisting students and faculty with operating laboratories and testing equipment. It also includes contributing to the maintenance, selection, development, renovation, and enhancement of laboratory facilities to ensure they meet the evolving needs of our programs. The position will report to the Department Chair.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide hands-on technical support for the labs in the Department of the Built
Environment.
the following labs :
documents relevant to the proper use of laboratory equipment.

preparation of test specimens, setup, instrumentation, data acquisition,
analysis, and cleanup.

Minimum Qualifications
Education : Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience : Three (3) years of professional laboratory experience. One (1) year of experience leading or supervising professional staff.
Other : Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education. Knowledge of the dynamics of microbiology courses.
Knowledge of the development of media and other support materials.
Skill in oral and written communication.
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products.
Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
Ability to multitask while demonstrating a commitment to customer service and sensitivity to a culturally and ethnically diverse community.
