Job Summary
This position offers a challenging opportunity to work as a CT Technologist at the University of Maryland Medical System. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized CT imaging procedures under general supervision.
Main Responsibilities:
- Execute basic clinical competence in CT across all patient types, selecting accurate technical factors on an individual patient basis.
- Apply knowledge of CT principles and practices, including anatomy and physiology, radiation safety and physics, patient positioning, and patient care skills.
- Document accurate patient care activity in various electronic health records systems.
- Maintain a safe and appropriate work environment, ensuring adequate supplies and inventory, and documenting equipment/environmental problems.
- Participate actively in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives, training, and education activities.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or certificate in radiologic technology from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education or Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
- 1 years of experience in radiology.
- Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) (R) and (CT), licensure as a Radiographer in the State of Maryland, and Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in health science or related field.
- 2 years of experience in CT.
