Job Summary

This position offers a challenging opportunity to work as a CT Technologist at the University of Maryland Medical System. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized CT imaging procedures under general supervision.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Execute basic clinical competence in CT across all patient types, selecting accurate technical factors on an individual patient basis.
  • Apply knowledge of CT principles and practices, including anatomy and physiology, radiation safety and physics, patient positioning, and patient care skills.
  • Document accurate patient care activity in various electronic health records systems.
  • Maintain a safe and appropriate work environment, ensuring adequate supplies and inventory, and documenting equipment/environmental problems.
  • Participate actively in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives, training, and education activities.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or certificate in radiologic technology from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education or Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
  • 1 years of experience in radiology.
  • Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) (R) and (CT), licensure as a Radiographer in the State of Maryland, and Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in health science or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in CT.
