Job Summary
The Maintenance Engineer operates and maintains Boilers, Chillers, Generators, Pumps and general Power Plant equipment to provide necessary utilities to the Medical Center.
MAINTAINS SAFE ENVIRONMENT: Complies with Safety and Quality Standards to optimize effective utilization of resources to provide necessary utilities that are need by - the Medical Center. Consistently maintains proper utilities for the Medical Center. Keeps work area clean and organized UTILITY EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE: Operate and maintain Boilers, Chillers, Generators, Pumps and general Power Plant equipment to provide necessary utilities to the Medical Center Maintains constant watch of Dials, Meters, Gauges, and Energy Management Systems to ensure proper operations and detect equipment malfunctions Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on Power Plant equipment Performs Water Treatment tests on Boilers, Cooling Tower and Chilled Water System. Adjusts - treatments as needed. Inspects, Paints, Cleans, and makes general repairs to Power Plant equipment. Maintains proper records, logs, and updates operational data as required and communicates critical information about the Power Plant to the next shifts. Acclimates Engineer to existing Plant operations and problems. Responds to Emergency/Routine maintenance requests for the Facilities Department during the third shift and communicates unresolved maintenance issues to the next day shift.

Certification / Licensure / Registration
- First Grade Stationary Engineer License (Required)

- Adequate hearing to perform job duties in person and over the telephone.
- Hears alarms/telephone/tape recorder/normal speaking voice.
- Must be able to accurately document pertinent information either by writing or typing.
- Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone.
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks/motion.
- Must have good manual dexterity.
