General Summary
The Senior Director, Strategy and Business Development, is responsible for supporting corporate-directed strategy, planning, business development and execution activities including the UMMS Strategic Framework, system integration initiatives as well as UMMS Member Organization-specific needs.
Principal Responsibilities and Tasks
- Develop and lead planning process activities for assigned initiatives. Assure that process deliverables are achieved consistent with established timelines.
- Provide business development support for enhancing current programs, establishing new programs. This includes opportunities assessments, pro forma development, build/buy/partner recommendations and follow through execution when requested.
- Support the development and implementation of a system intelligence function to monitor and assess external environmental factors that could influence system strategies and initiatives.
- Support the newly established system annual operating plans structure and process.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree: Business Administration, Health Care Admin, or Juris Doctor preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- 10 years of management experience in health care or related field in the areas of strategy, planning and data/analytics.
- Extensive data/analytics background with knowledge of Sg2’s suite of intelligence tools.
- Ability to work independently with high level system executives, physician leaders and external partners to drive and/or support system-related initiatives.
- Strong verbal communications skills, strong written communications skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and advanced computer skills to include Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. Proven analytical skills.
