Organization's Summary Statement: The Assistant Coach of Field Hockey will assist the Head Coach with the organization, development, and implementation of a nationally competitive NCAA Division I Field Hockey program that competes in the Big Ten Conference. Responsibilities include recruiting, scouting, coaching, travel coordination, program administration, fundraising, and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach. The Assistant Coach will develop and maintain effective interaction with students, colleagues, university staff, alumni, the international hockey community, and the general public. The Assistant Coach will have knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations, as well as dedication to the full academic development of student-athletes.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and university rules and regulations, as well as dedication to the full academic development of student-athletes. Strong communication, organization, and administrative skills.
Preferences: Competitive (FIH) international coaching and/or playing experience preferred. (The Fédération Internationale de Hockey, commonly known by the acronym FIH)
