Overview
The University of Maryland seeks an experienced leader to serve as Chief Development Officer (CDO) for the College of Arts and Humanities. The CDO will play a key role in a dynamic advancement team currently in the silent phase of a major university-wide campaign.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage regional development markets in collaboration with development colleagues.
- Maintain development travel schedules and initiate first alumni contact for the Dean, faculty, and other administrators.
- Coordinate with all development staff and gift stewardship activities with donor relations.
- Oversee a talented team of senior gift officers and advancement professionals that focus on major and principal gifts from individuals, corporate and foundation philanthropic support, alumni engagement and donor relations and stewardship.
- Work with University Relations to set relevant metrics, keep the team motivated and on task, and consistently hit fundraising goals for the unit with a focus on sustained growth through the campaign.
