Position Summary / Purpose of Position :
The Project Manager is a 12-month position manages a 2-year, living-learning program of about 150 freshmen and sophomores.
Under the direction of the Program Director, the Project Manager will maintain a consistent presence in the DJ office to provide and lead all necessary student services for students in the program.
The Project Manager will also lead the process for assessing student performance and effectiveness; as well as mentoring and advising students in 1 : 1 and group meetings.

Education :
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Experience :
At least five (5 ) years of experience in teaching, counseling, advising, and / or academic program development
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Background in data science and knowledge, skills, and abilities to analyze data science from a critical lens, to include : Knowledge of justice-centered approaches to equitable computer and data sciences;
- Ability to analyze how cultural values, power, and privilege are encoded into technology; andAbility to critique the sociopolitical values of data structure and algorithmic design;
- Skill as an effective and innovative teacher or mentor, with a demonstrated interest in the value of out-of-classroom experiences, multi-disciplinary pedagogies, and a liberal arts education.
Preferences : Preferences :
- Teaching experience in higher education;
- Experience working with learning management systems (especially Canvas);
- Experience planning, implementing, and assessing a range of event types; and
- Experience managing social media accounts.
