Job Summary
The University of Massachusetts President's Office Information Technology and Services (UITS) located in Westborough, MA is offering a Project Administrator Internship for current UMass students for up to 20 hours per week at $17.00 an hour. Project Administrator Interns work closely with UITS Project Managers to facilitate the mechanics of the project lifecycle and assist with ensuring project documentation is up-to-date. Those selected for this internship will gain valuable knowledge of the inner workings of the University of Massachusetts.
Essential Functions
The University of Massachusetts President's Office Information Technology and Services (UITS) located in Westborough, MA is offering a Project Administrator Internship for current UMass students for up to 20 hours per week at $17.00 an hour. Project Administrator Interns work closely with UITS Project Managers to facilitate the mechanics of the project lifecycle and assist with ensuring project documentation is up-to-date. Essential Functions
- Assist with the scheduling of routine meetings and record action items.
- Assist with project communications.
- Works collaboratively with Project Team members at all levels to complete project documentation & artifacts.
- Assist with project performance reporting.
- Assist with distribution of documentation and resources to the project team.
- Provide support with the identification of opportunities for improvement of projects.
- Current UMass student who is enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program of study.
- GPA 3.0 or higher.
- Be curious, creative, eager to learn, motivated, and willing to take initiative on assigned projects/tasks.
- Strong communications skills.
- Reliable and detailed-oriented with a strong ability to multi-task, stay organized, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be well organized, detailed oriented, and possess good follow-up skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when interacting with staff.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Any offers of an internship within the President's Office is specifically conditioned upon the potential candidate consenting to and successfully completing a background review.
