Job Summary: This position manages the brand presence of UMass Auxiliary Enterprises (AE). This includes planning & implementing long & short-term marketing strategies.
Essential Functions:
- Plans, implements, and executes long and short-term marketing strategies for Auxiliary Enterprises (AE). This includes communicating and coordinating marketing strategies with Directors and University officials. Utilizes public relations to promote programs to increase awareness about UMass Auxiliary Enterprises.
- Develops creative assets in support of marketing and social media strategies, including filming and creating video from primary or secondary (B-roll) footage, photography, animated video content, visual elements and stories, GIF's, infographics, and vector art.
- Oversees the development and implementation of the AE Marketing Internship Program. Hires, supervises, and develops supportive/mentoring relationships with students interested in marketing and communications. Creates curriculum and assigns students to assist members of AE in the development of compelling multi-channel marketing ad campaigns in areas such as market research, strategy, concept development, and execution.
- Develops, implements, and manages AE social media and web communications including AE websites, email campaigns, and blogs.
- Develops marketing strategies and assists in the planning and implementation of annual large-scale public events.
- Works closely with University News and Media Relations and other University departments on various projects.
- Manages production timelines and logistics related to creative tasks.
- Oversees and coordinates the work of contracted photographers and designers.
- Strategizes and develops national and international awards/grants opportunities to strengthen AE and University public relations.
- Acts as ambassador for the UMass Auxiliary Enterprises Program as a representative of the Executive Director of AE to the community at large. Attends professional meetings as appropriate, interacts with external organizations and facilitates and makes presentations and seminars at relevant conferences to build relationships and spread awareness of AE brands.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and three (3) or more years' relevant experience in digital content creation, including graphic design and video production for use on social media.
- Skills and knowledge of printing production, publications, marketing, and advertising campaigns.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute new marketing strategies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with multiple computing environments including Macintosh and Windows.
- Proven ability to use Microsoft based software, Adobe Creative Suite, and cutting-edge social media platforms/relevant technology.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent management, team-building, relationship building, and networking skills.
- Ability to think creatively, work on multiple projects under deadlines, and achieve results with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with a focus in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute new marketing strategies within an academic setting.
Work Schedule:
- Monday- Friday 37.5 hours / week
- Requires some nights and weekends.
