The University of Miami Health System, Miller School of Medicine is initiating a search for an Assistant Professor of Clinical - Gastroenterology.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provide direct outpatient care to GI patients primarily at the Uhealth Doral Location [9 half days] Opening Fall of 2024
- Provide outpatient clinical and endoscopic services who require Gastroenteorlogy/Hepatology services, or screening procedures
- Maintain outpatient and endoscopic procedures at Uhealth Doral
DESIRED QUALIFIATIONS:
- MD/DO Degree
- ACGME US Internal Medicine residency
- BE/BC in Internal Medicine
- BE/BC in Gastroenterology
- Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing)
- Must be able to provide prerequisite case logs for procedures for prior two years for credentialing
- Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques
- Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements
- Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care
- Current BLS certification required. ACLS
- Valid DEA licensure
