- 30% - Responsible for the coordination of daily functional supervision for the Front Desk Team.30% - Provides interpretation and instruction for policies, procedures and practices. Maintains work schedules, reviews timesheets for accuracy and assists with performance evaluations for the front desk team.15% - Provides in service training and onboarding for new clerical staff. Participates with leadership team to ensure effective clinical operations. Promotes and facilitates positive communication with the entire health care team.10% - Lead daily team huddles and monthly front desk clerical meeting. Proactively build relationship with faculty, nursing, support staff, and clinics in order to assist in identifying barriers to care.5% - Provide coverage to the front desk during scheduled and unscheduled time off. Perform other duties as tasked.Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma and GED.
- 5 years of clerical experience in a medical office setting.
- Demonstrate ability to lead a team or project.
- Excellent attendance.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team setting.
- Communicates effectively.
- Demonstrates active listening, written, verbal and information technology skills.Desired Qualifications
- Basic medical terminology.
- Experience working within a large, complex health care setting.
- Familiarity with UMHS electronic medical records system.
