The Department of Learning Health Sciences (DLHS) at the University of Michigan Medical School is seeking candidates for a part-time position of Technical Writer / Editorial Assistant to provide support to the editorial team of the open-access online journal, "Learning Health Systems."

Responsibilities
- Work with the Editor-in-Chief, Managing Associate Editor, and Associate Editors to track ~150 annual submissions per year, ensuring timely reviews.
- Work with the publisher's (John Wiley & Sons) staff to oversee publication of ~60 accepted articles annually, ensuring each quarterly issue is published on schedule.
- Collaborate with the publisher (John Wiley & Sons) on features, procedures, and publications.
- Serve as an integral member of the journal's editorial team, supporting decisions, planning meetings, and marketing material development.
- Coordinate special and supplemental issues with guest editors.
- Work with the publisher to maintain website content.
- Maintain mailing lists of journal readers.
- Orient new Associate Editors and Editorial Board members.
- Communicate with authors regarding submissions and manuscript requirements.
- Manage special article types, including meeting abstract compendia.
