What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Server - Restaurants at Southwest position at University of Missouri Campus Dining Services?
Job Overview:
This position includes basic food preparation (ie. building sandwiches//pizza, etc.) service (plating food), and//or sanitation tasks. Prepare food according to instructions. Follow proper food handling techniques. Assist in completing the Serving Line Worksheets. Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and secure working area. Set up service//preparation areas as assigned. Provide high-quality service to customers; assist in meeting the department’s customer service objectives. Direct, help train, and assist student employees in food preparation and service. Clean and replenish the service//preparation areas, dining room, and dishwashing//pot-and-pan areas during and after service. Complete required training. Help the department constantly improve and reach its vision. Perform other duties as assigned.
Shift
12:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
- Ability to handle and lift heavy kitchen utensils and supplies (e.g. 40 pounds)
- Good physical health.
- Some knowledge of and experience in basic food preparation, service, and//or sanitation methods and a desire to provide high-quality customer service are strongly preferred
