Job Description

Reporting to the Assistant Athletics Director – Compliance, this position will provide department leadership, coordination, and assistance on issues related to athletic compliance with rules and regulations related to the assigned program.

Key Responsibilities Will Include

Awards & Benefits

  • Managing Travel & Vacation Per-Diem Card Requests
  • Coordinating Approval Process and Monitoring Camps and Clinics (and any 'Affiliated' Club Teams)
  • Coordinating Student-Athlete Complimentary Tickets
  • Coordinating Facility Approval Process and Related Rules Education for External Entities
  • Reviewing and Monitoring of Student-Athlete Awards

Eligibility

  • Managing Student-Athlete Eligibility for Practice & Competition
  • Primary for Squad Lists and Certification with Certification Officer and Registrar
  • Liaison with the MU Admissions Department
  • Performing Prospective Student-Athlete Transcript Evaluations
  • Monitoring Team Travel and Travel Size Limits
  • Assisting with NCAA Transfer Portal & Transfer Exit interviews
  • Monitoring Academic Performance Rates and Graduation Rates

Financial Aid & Scholarships

  • Coordinating National Letter of Intent and Scholarship Program
  • Maintaining Financial Aid Records in Compliance Assistant (CA) Software
  • Monitoring Student-Athlete Meal Plan Reports
  • Monitoring and Approving Required Course Supply Purchases for Student-Athletes
  • Documenting Non-Athletics Financial Aid

Personnel

  • Engaging in SEC Pre-Employment Reviews
  • Managing Coaching Staff Declarations
  • Coordinating Outside Income/Conflict of Interest Reporting
  • Coordinating Coaching and Sport Staff Designations

Playing & Practice

  • Coordinating Playing and Practice Seasons Declarations
  • Coordinating Time Management Plans
  • Monitoring and Analyzing Practice Logs
  • Monitoring Individual and Team Competition Limits
  • Coordinating Schedule Approval Process
  • Coordinating Participation Reports
  • Updating Participation in Compliance Assistant (CA) Software

Recruiting

  • Monitoring and Analyzing Official Visit Documentation
  • Monitoring and Analyzing Unofficial Visit Documentation
  • Monitoring Recruiting Travel, Contacts and Evaluations
  • Managing and Monitoring Phone/Text Message Electronic Bill Uploads into Recruiting Software
  • Drafting and Disseminating Monthly Recruiting Reminders
  • Coordinating and Monitoring Complimentary Tickets for PSAs/PSA Coaches
  • Coordinating and Monitoring On-Campus Evaluations

Other Responsibilities

  • Assisting with Educational Efforts
  • Assisting in Secondary and Major Investigations/Infractions and Reporting
  • Assisting in Interpretative Process
  • Assisting with Waivers
  • Assisting with Other Duties as Assigned

Shift

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; Nights, Weekends, and Travel as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of NCAA Rules and Regulations

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $51,875 - $55,000

Grade: GGS 9E
