The Database Programmer Analyst position will support several enterprise applications including Perceptive Content, Brainware, Adobe Acrobat Sign, MOVEit and Tidal. Duties include creating and modifying custom scripts and SQL queries, Windows application administration, on call support, application optimization, customer support and change requests, and day to day support for common team issues and requests. In addition, the position requires researching and testing applications, system upgrades, and securing supported applications.
This position is HYBRID: The staff member must be available to report in person to campus up to 2 weeks per year but will primarily work from home.
Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm Evening, weekend, & call-in work may be required to meet deadlines & correct system failures.
In appraising the relative qualifications of candidates for all levels, consideration will be given to the extent and type of experience with various information technology functions and to the extent and type of pertinent education and formal training. At the time a job opening is posted the hiring department will specify required knowledge and skills pertaining to specific technologies/ software /equipment.
-Two years experience in a position with a primary role of IT support or equivalent education of an associate's degree or higher in a related area.
-Experience writing SQL queries.
-Practical experience writing in one or more programming languages or 4th generation languages for multi-use/multitasking environments.
-Working knowledge of or proven capability to quickly learn programming language(s), operating systems, and to support multiple applications utilized within the hiring operating unit.
-Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of a work assignment and to participate as a member of a cross departmental project team.
-Time management skills and organizational ability for project management.
-Evening, weekend and call-in work may be required to meet deadlines and correct system failures.
-Windows Server and Windows application management.
-Applying security best practices to applications.
-Tomcat web server optimization.
-Experience writing scripts e.g. JavaScript.
-Strong documentation skills.
-Ability to work under pressure, meet inflexible deadlines, and deal with difficult individuals while maintaining composure.
-Ability to multitask with strict time constraints.
-Ability to prioritize assigned tasks and support tickets.
-Experience supporting Enterprise applications.
Salary Range: $51,875 - $90,000 Commensurate with experience
