The Opportunity :
The Department of Family & Community Medicine , University of Missouri-Columbia, seeks a new faculty member to contribute to its mission of improving the health of Missourians while creating exemplary care environments for effective teaching of medical students and resident physicians. Comprehensive benefits package and incentive plan. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with all positions.
The clinical faculty’s primary responsibilities are a clinical practice with opportunities for medical student and residency teaching, including inpatient adult and pediatric care and / or obstetrical care.
Faculty physicians practice side by side with our resident physicians providing patient care in our family medicine clinics – located in Columbia and in three nearby rural communities – as well as in two area hospitals and the local federally qualified community health center. In addition to our eight practices, our department manages three Mizzou Quick Care clinics. Outpatient visits at these facilities total nearly 160,000 annually. The Department of Family & Community Medicine is nationally recognized and ranked by U.S. News & World Report in the top ten family medicine programs for nearly 25 years.
Qualifications
All candidates must hold an M.D. or D.O. and be either board-certified or board eligible. For the purposes of this application, board-certified / board-eligible are considered experienced.
