ACED (Adult Continuing Education for Persons with Developmental Disabilities) teaches classes on four campuses throughout the Kansas City metro. ACED is housed with IHD (Institute for Human Development) with the University of Missouri, Kansas City.
This is a temporary, non-tenure-accruing, non-benefits eligible position. Appointment periods are for the course session(s) with consideration for reappointment.
Must be available on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. from Sept - Dec. and Jan. - May. Only 5 hours per week.
- Assists in ACED classes on campus.
- Distributes supplies to classrooms.
- Assists instructors and students in classroom activities.
- Accompanies field trips to help coordinate.
- Helps at front desk with attendance.
- Unloads and loads supplies from car to classroom.
- Helps with cleanup after class.
- Assures students are welcomed when they arrive and watches at pickup times.
High School Degree
