The MU School of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology – Mason Eye Clinic is seeking a full-time board certified/eligible Cornea Specialist to join our expanding department. The position will hold the title of Assistant, Associate, or Professor on the non-tenure track.

Other clinical duties will be dependent on candidate’s abilities and are negotiable.  Clinical education of residents, fellows, and medical students is integral to this position.  Responsibilities also include rotating call coverage at the Mason Eye Clinic.

Details:

  • Join a department of 12 ophthalmologists, 6 optometrists, and 16 residents 

  • Responsibilities are: 

    • 90% clinical 

    • 10% Teaching/education/administration 

  • Outpatient Clinic:  

    • 3 Exam Rooms 

    • 1 MA/Tech 

  • We offer opportunities to assist in the department's growth, the education of students, residents, and fellows, as well as research and scholarly activities.  

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Board certified/eligible ophthalmologist in the area of Cornea by the time of appointment.
