Description
The University of Mount Union is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice in the Department of Social Sciences to begin August 2025.
Responsibilities
We welcome applicants with a wide range of expertise, however, the successful candidate will be responsible for teaching criminal justice classes in Victimology, and one or more of the following areas : Social Research Methods, Sociological and Criminological Theory, and Law. Candidates will be expected to serve as advisor and mentor to undergraduate students, supporting them in research as well as identifying experiential learning opportunities.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or related field. ABD with teaching experience will be considered.
The ideal candidate will be able to present a combination of evidence of teaching effectiveness, a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate education, and professional experience in the field of criminal justice.
