Assist with the daily tasks of the Division of Research and Creative Activity (DRCA), providing support for the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research and Creative Activity (AVCRCA), Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP), Office of Research Services and INSpRE, and the Office of Research Integrity and Compliance (RIC) for 50% of the time and the other 50% assisting the Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity (URCA). Use independent judgement to make decisions based on general guidelines related to the functions of the division. Performs a variety of tasks, including greeting the public, filing, database management, report generation, maintaining AVCRCA calendar, supervising student worker, travel arrangements, ordering, payments for students and DRCA members, and other tasks as assigned with minimal supervision.
Job Duties

Use independent judgement to make decisions based on general guidelines related to the functions of the DRCA. Performs a variety of tasks, including greeting the public, filing, database management, report generation, maintaining AVCRCA calendar, supervising student worker, travel arrangements, ordering, payments for students and DRCA members, and other tasks as assigned with minimal supervision. Assist in organization of events including Student Research Day, the Fall Symposium, URF program, SSRP, NU Collaborative Retreat, New Frontiers Reception, and Tobacco Fund Summer Workshop. Manage cross-collaborative research grants of division personnel, including processing of payments, payroll, expense reimbursement, etc. Create and disseminate the DRCA newsletter 3 times a year. Manage office-answer phones, order supplies, schedule meetings, book and reconcile travel through CONCUR, ARIBA orders, DocuSign, reconcile accounts, HR paperwork, P2P/Contract , maintain copier and poster plotter, and run monthly reports (SAP, NUFFO, Grants, disposition, etc.).
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree diploma or equivalent. Experience with contemporary office practices, procedures, and techniques; good written and oral communication skills, basic mathematical skills, ability to understand instructions and to work independently; computer literacy and familiarity with various software packages (Microsoft Office); strategic thinking skills and the ability to make rational recommendations and decisions based on consideration of facts.
Preferred Qualifications
Two-years related work experience. Experience with DocuSign, CONCUR, ARIBA, SAP, NUFFO, and P2P/Contract are preferred, but can be taught.
