As a Director of Development, you will play a critical role in building a robust community of philanthropic support by partnering with physician leadership and their care teams. You will have the opportunity to plan and implement major gift fundraising strategies including identification, cultivation, and stewardship of major gift donors. This is an opportunity to build relationships with health system leaders and work with patients and families to align their philanthropy with charitable priorities at Nebraska Medicine and UNMC.

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 1-5 years’ experience in development, fundraising, sales, account management, talent acquisition or a related field with transferrable skills. Strong preference for academic or hospital-based fundraising experience is desired.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success in the solicitation of annual and major gifts.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate and manage a variety of projects and programs simultaneously.
  • Discretion in handling confidential matters.
