You will join the foundation at an exciting time, with the opportunity to make a transformational impact. The foundation is in the public phase of a historic campaign to raise $3 billion to build a better future for Nebraska. The campaign is being led by many enthusiastic volunteers representing all areas of the University of Nebraska System. This paid position offers a flexible schedule of 10-15 hours per week during the school year (subject to change over the summer based on availability), professional experience, and a convenient downtown Lincoln office location.
Ways you will make an impact:
- Assist the General Counsel group with legal research, writing, and compliance in the areas of real estate, tax, contracts, estate planning, legislation, corporate governance, insurance, and post-secondary education.
- Work independently and have strong legal writing and analytical skills.
- Assist with greeting donors and guests, while providing back-up support in our reception areas when needed.
- Special projects as assigned.

What you need:
- Education: Current student status as a J.D. Candidate at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.
- Demonstrated communication, writing, and editing skills.
- Excellent project management and time management skills and abilities.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel), Adobe Acrobat, and aptitude to learn new technologies or databases.
- Capable of handling confidential and sensitive materials.
