What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Faculty-Rank DOQ position at University of Nebraska Medical Center?
Required Qualifications
- Hold an unencumbered PT license and be eligible for licensure in Nebraska.
- Earned clinical Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
- ABPTS certification or an earned academic doctoral degree.
- Maintain membership in the American Physical Therapy Association.
- Experience teaching physical therapy-related content at the entry-level or graduate level.
- Evidence of an emerging regional or national reputation in professional service, such as a record of service as an officer or a significant committee/member/chair in a state, regional, or national professional society and/or consultation related to clinical practice areas.
- Evidence of an established research/scholarly agenda for physical therapy that aligns with the program’s mission, such as a record of publication activity (e.g., manuscripts, newsletters, blogs, patient education materials) and/or presentations.
- Reside in the Omaha or Kearney, Nebraska area and work on the associated campus.
- Travel between the Omaha and Kearney campuses as needed for teaching, service activities, or specific Physical Therapy Education events. The distance between Kearney and Omaha is approximately 200 miles.
- Capable of working independently, engaging, leading, and coordinating with teams.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
