Position Summary
This position serves as the first point of contact for the Dean's Office. The Administrative and Communications Associate provides administrative, clerical, business and communications support to the CFAM Dean, Associate Dean, Assistant Dean, Business Manager and Communications Specialist. Duties include reconciliation of purchasing cards, continuous maintenance of all confidential college academic personnel files; update of academic and college personnel worksheets; scanning and uploading payment documents to SharePoint; check and process Student Work / Work Study / GA paperwork and processes student mailings for awards, suspensions and probation, as well as Foundation donations for the Dean. Assists CFAM Dean's Office with planning and hosting special events. This position facilitates the Mavcard activation system for WFAB students and faculty; and assists the Communication Specialist with proofreading; webpage updates and editing and maintaining the CFAM directory; along with creating and managing social media content and distributing marketing material.
Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrate proficiency in computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and have experience updating websites and creating / managing social media content. Candidate should have existing knowledge OR the ability and willingness to learn UNO systems including SAP / Firefly / Concur / Ariba, Mavlink, and MavConnect. Candidate should have a strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills. Must be able to use discretion, confidentiality and professionalism when handling confidential information.
