Position Summary
Provides immediate personalized professional / academic counseling to students, especially first-generation college students, students on academic probation, and high-risk students; assists with academic advisement and occasional instruction involving students in STEM, students doing internships, students engaged in research or creative activities, and develops relevant auxiliary study strategies and tutorial materials for such students; identifies student support resources (such as FUSE grant, STEM funds) available within and outside Goodrich and the university; monitors certain Goodrich statistics, academic semester grade summaries, students on probation, and the postgraduate status of Goodrichers. Assists with the Goodrich scholarship application process, including interviewing, reading essays, entering data, tracking data, and taking on other related tasks.

Required Education
Master's degree, preferably in clinical mental health counseling (or in counseling psychology or a related field).
Required Experience
- Minimum of three years of combined relevant counseling, student advisement, and instructional or tutorial experience that includes working with first-generation college students in a university environment.
