Job Description
Are you ready to lead and make a difference? We’re looking for energetic students to join our team and help welcome the next generation of Wolf Pack students! This is your chance to make a real impact, build your leadership skills, and welcome new students to the Wolf Pack community. If you’re ready to be part of an unforgettable summer experience, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
- Guiding campus tours
- Sharing Wolf Pack traditions
- Lead small groups of 12-15 new students through their orientation experience.
- Lead student and family engagement activities
- Assist with check-in stations
- Help with event setup and breakdown
Required Qualifications
- Candidate must be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno
- Candidate must be an undergraduate student in Fall 2025
- Candidate must maintain a 2.5 Cumulative GPA and be on track to complete 30 credits/year
Schedule
Expected hours to work per week: 10-12 hour shifts on Orientation days
Schedule also includes a required 3-week leadership training where you’ll develop key skills in leadership, teamwork, and public speaking.
Summer Schedule
Orientation Leaders will work on campus 20-35 hours per week between May 27 and August 17st.
- Students who start another job mid-August, such as being a RA or NevadaFIT Mentor, will end their contract earlier based on the start of the other job. Additional hours may be available.
- Students are allowed to enroll in one Summer class during first OR second session not both sessions or the mini-session. Asynchronous, on-line courses are also allowed.
- The Summer schedule includes a vacation block June 29-July 6. Weekends are off, except for June 28, July 19 and August 16-17.
Compensation Grade
Student Employee Level 1
$14.00/hr
All Orientation Leaders earn:
- $400 in food bucks for the Summer.
- Access to the E.L. Wiegand Fitness Center for the Summer.
- Summer uniform which includes 2 polo shirts, a jacket and a back pack.
- Students who may need on campus housing should inquire about housing options.
