The CWEP COT/CPT Instructor is responsible for delivering standardized training for foster parents as part of the Child Welfare Education Program (CWEP). Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Caregiver Pre-Service Training (CPT) sessions to prepare prospective foster parents for their roles, covering topics such as child development, trauma-informed care, and state child welfare policies.
- Deliver Continuing Ongoing Training (COT) sessions for current foster parents, focusing on enhancing caregiving skills, addressing challenges, and staying updated on child welfare practices.
- Ensure consistent delivery of standardized curriculum while maintaining fidelity to program guidelines and objectives.
- Lead interactive training activities, including group discussions, case studies, and role-playing, to reinforce learning and practical application.
- Monitor participant engagement and understanding, providing encouragement and clarifications as needed.
- Maintain accurate training records, including attendance and participation, and submit required documentation in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with CWEP leadership to ensure training sessions align with program goals and participant needs.
