Specific Responsibilities
- Developing and delivering laboratory-based instruction in musculoskeletal pathology.
- Designing and implementing interactive teaching methodologies to enhance student understanding of disease processes and diagnostic techniques.
- Collaborating with faculty to align lab activities with curriculum objectives and ensure consistency with academic standards.
- Providing individualized guidance and feedback to students to support their academic and professional growth.
- Maintaining and preparing laboratory materials, including equipment, and teaching aids.
- Staying current with advancements in musculoskeletal pathology to incorporate cutting-edge knowledge into lab instruction.
- The successful candidate will have at least a master’s degree in an allied health-related discipline (i.e., Physician Assistant Studies, Physical Therapy, Health Science, Physiology, Kinesiology, or a related area).
- Board certification or eligibility in pathology, orthopedic surgery, rheumatology, or a related field, depending on the focus of the lab.
- Musculoskeletal Pathology Expertise: In-depth understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy, pathology, and related diagnostic methodologies, including histology, imaging, and clinical correlations.
- Teaching and Presentation: Ability to deliver engaging, clear, and effective instruction in a laboratory environment.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse groups of students and colleagues.
